Welcome to our Web site. We have finally managed to finish the site to the point where it is usable, but there are fantastic new things to come - and a lot of them. If you wish to advertise your taxi license for lease or sale, you are welcome to use this site for free. If you are looking for a license to buy or to lease, please feel free to search. We will still be doing more on this search faciltiy in the next weeks and months to come. When you have created your account, you can delete it at any time. We will not send you any spam, except reminders to renew your ad when it expires.

As we have just managed to finish the functionality of our free advertisement section, there are not many ads on this site. Don't be shy to be one of  the first to take advantage of this free service.

ELECTRONIC CARD PAYMENT FACILIITY TOTALLY INADEQUATE AND DOES NOT CONFORM TO INDUSTRY NEEDS.

The facility to have the payment option by Credit Card, EFTPOS, Cab Charge Cards and E-Tickets is completely inadequate for the taxi industry. This facility has been created for companies that employ the workforce, but not for an Industry that relies on a Bailment System. 100 % of the Card takings is credited to the owners bank account, even though the industry runs on a 50/50 Owner/Driver share. Generally the taxi driver is self-employed and takes 50 % of the taking and gives 50% to the owner. However the problem occurs when the driver’s card transactions get over 50 % of his takings. Because the driver does not get part of the transaction (say 50 %) paid into his own account, he or she does not get paid and then relies on Cash Credits, which he can only retrieve for real money, if he gets a low number of card transactions on the next shift. If he has not been able to achieve that, because the card transactions were again more than 50% of the total takings, the driver must wait indefinitely to get paid. Drivers cannot survive on Cash Credits provided by owners for an indefinite period of time. They need to be able to bank their takings the same as any other income earner.

The card facility should:

  1. Allow the driver to create his own account with the Card Charge Company.
  2. When logging in, be prompted if this is an Owner/Driver share arrangement (which in most cases it is).
  3. Provide his username and password.
  4. When having logged in and a customer uses the card the printer must then provide a copy for the customer (passenger), a copy for the owner (50%) and a copy for the driver (50%).
  5.  When doing the end of shift total, two totals should be issued, one for the owner and one for the driver. The driver gets his money transferred into his account and he can log into the web site of the Card Charge company and see pending payments.

It is disgusting that the Cab Charge companies have not already ensured that the system is workable and fair for all users, and cab drivers must discourage their clients the best way the can to ensure that these electronic cards facilities are not used for payment, until the system reflects the reality of the taxi industry.
